Weekly Round-UP for the week ending June 7th, 2014

I feel like I need to re-name this feature…One day, it truly will be a weekly one. I promise.

Anyway, without further ado…here is the most interesting things I’ve found on the web over “the last week.”

  • Here's a great article about Jack and Meg White from grantland.com
  • Vassals of Kingsgrave is quickly becoming my favorite of the podcastoficeandfire family of podcasts (sorry Mimi, Amin, Ashley, and Kyle). This one is the 2nd part of a critique of A Song of Ice and Fire and metanarratives within the series. Check it and the 1st installment out, which can be found on Vassals of Kingsgrave.
  • To heavily geek out for a moment, take a look at an article from Buzzfeed about some villains from the Lord of the Ring's universe that are just too big to ever appear on screen.
  • Here's one from Popular Science for all you hipsters out there (or if you're like me, just hipster curious...) or if you're just confused and/or fascinated by hipster culture. Where else are you going to find the beard trend and Darwinian evolution mashed together?
  • Interesing article from The Atlantic about when two worlds collide: environmentalism and local culture.
  • Appy Geek brings an article about Bitcoin and the new internet.
  • Salon brings yet another article detailing how far down the rabbit hole we've gone with global warming.
  • Lastly, Jezebel has the best article about bisexuality that I've read in a long time. Bonus: it comes from a review of Game of Thrones.

That's it for this week. I promise that next week I'll be back with a longer list. They're piling up...
And remember to follow Landspost Thanks and enjoy!
